Selective Pressure: Page 1

Note 1Rookie mistake #1: The first panel is set in space! I had to borrow a sharpie to fill it all in. I was too used to Illustrator and Photoshop. Note 2The spacecraft is supposed to link the first two panels so you know where in the station the action starts. Is it important? Not really. Note 3What makes a robot look evil? Sharp things! Note 4Going along with the spirit of 24 hour comics, I wanted to start in hour 1 with a fresh idea. For the weeks beforehand, whenever I came up with a neat idea, I'd immediately reject it. I had a long night before 24 hour comics day so I took a quick nap at around 9AM. Right before I fell asleep, I thought it would be cool to take one of my unattached characters, Clarisa, and tell a sci-fi story about her in the future. Since it was so close to noon, my brain approved it. Note 5The Exosuit's design I made up on the spot, following the rule that good guys = rounded lines. Unintentionally, it looks like one of Sony's line of robots.
