This is the reveal that the main character is in fact not an artificial lifeform, but it is being piloted by a woman. As it will be clear later, she is inside the rotund body of the Exosuit. And the story flashes back to when Clarisa was too small for the seat. I was afraid people might not get the difference so I added some thought captions to emphasize that the size difference was intentional. It's not specific that it is a flashback until you see the "2009" in the next panel. To make the transition more smooth, I added this last thought caption. When I thought up the character of Clarisa a while ago, I always imagined her character's "setpiece" as fighting a tank.
