I don't like verbal sound effects. It's hard to put them on the page so it doesn't block what is making the sound! I'm also not a good letterer. I needed some impact though since it is a tank slamming into the ground. I wanted to make the Exosuit look different in each time period so the reader can figure it out more easily. For the 2008 model I took what we've seen already and made it dorkier. The head is a weird Juggernaut/bicycle helmet. The limbs look like they're made out of tinkertoys. Even though I don't like them, this page really works the sound effects! Keeley makes her grand appearance (though she appeared above too (also, it's later revealed that she has a bigger role!)). I like the character so much, she just had to show up.
