Tonight&#8217;s showing: <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Before We Ruled the Earth: Hunt or Be Hunted<\/span>. They had a dramatization of <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">H. erectus<\/span> failing to hunt elk because their torches (used to scare the elk) went out in the moist air. I think they would&#8217;ve beta-tested that technology before actually using it in a if-it-fails-we&#8217;ll-get-gored situation.<\/p>\n<p>Also they make it sound like <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">H. erectus<\/span> had no expression of loss or remorse. C&#8217;mon, even dogs have that.
