I’ve worked out a routine where I have one major project that I work on for fun, along with various smaller projects that I do to fill in the gaps of my time. Earlier this year the project was to get Anthropomotron into the App Store. When that was done I switched to working on my comic. Now that Keeley issue 4 is waiting at the printers’, it’s time to once again switch gears on my major project. It’s back to Anthropomotron! While the app is done in one sense of the word (it’s a polished application that works as advertised), there is a lot of room for improvement. I brought Anthropomotron up to roughly 2005 plus or minus in its contents, but a lot has changed in forensic anthropology and bioarchaeology since then. A lot of the feedback I have heard asked to include more recent formulae (some rather involving so an app would be perfect), and that is what I’m going to do. I’m compiling a to-do/wishlist now of what I want in the next version. If you have suggestions, just contact me if you haven’t already. I have a soft deadline for April or May to get this done.
Could you make Anthropomotron work without internet access? I tried it a couple times on my iPad when I wasn’t connected, and it didn’t work. Just curious if it’s possible (or if it’s just my wonky iPad that’s the issue).
The app version should work without the internet. Getting the internet version to work without a connection is on the wishlist!
