Too Much of a Good Thing

August 22, 2008March 20, 2010 admin0 comment

The Inca religion is based on Sun worship. The Inca leader (also called “the Inca”) is said to be the son of the Sun. Ironically, only the ruler and certain elites are allowed to carry a parasol to protect them from the Sun’s harmful rays.

I’m Officially a Twit

August 8, 2008 admin0 comment

I scoffed at Twitter and microblogging. Scoffed! Then I realized it’s kind of cool and tried it out for a month. Now I’ve gone the next step and integrated it with both my blog and my Facebook status. It clearly is the wave of the future. For thoroughness, here’s a… Read more“I’m Officially a Twit”

Tales from Comic-Con, Day 4 (Sunday): I Just Want a Goddamn Cardboard Tube

August 2, 2008March 20, 2010 admin0 comment

I didn’t go to Comic-Con on Sunday in 2006 because I was tired of it by the fourth day. My family convinced me to go since I did have Comic-Con and trolley passes. A deal ‘s a deal! Getting there was no problem. Once inside, though it was chaos. Sunday… Read more“Tales from Comic-Con, Day 4 (Sunday): I Just Want a Goddamn Cardboard Tube”

Always Thinkin’

August 1, 2008March 20, 2010 admin1 Comment

I was doing my usual studying thing, reading Life History of the Ache, when I had a crazy idea. Ok, the behavior of an organism is affected by its genes and environment. This interaction, through our evolutionary past, has been acted upon by natural selection: gene-environment interactions that result in… Read more“Always Thinkin’”

Tales from Comic-Con, Day 3 (Saturday): Wait

July 31, 2008March 20, 2010 admin0 comment

To be honest I don’t remember much from Saturday. I hung out in the game room playing Rock Band. I hung out with Hae Eun at the Planet Tokki booth. Strange to say for an annual four-day event I’ve only attended twice but it was same ol’, same ol’. {Mid-Missouri… Read more“Tales from Comic-Con, Day 3 (Saturday): Wait”

Scott McCloud and the Rock Band tournament was just the first half of my Friday at Comic-Con. I did attend one panel: a screening of the last episode of Avatar. Avatar? Yep I recently got into it and watched through all the episodes all the way up through the series… Read more“Tales from Comic-Con, Day 2 (Friday, Part 2): I Must Find the Avatar… Panel”

Tales from Comic-Con, Day 2 (Friday: Part 1): My Own Personal 8 Mile

July 28, 2008March 20, 2010 admin0 comment

I found parking at the Fenton Parkway trolley station and got to Comic-Con at least a half hour earlier than Thursday. As I was walking there, a man with a box of cards handed one to me. It said Top Shelf 2.0, about a new webcomics project. He asked me… Read more“Tales from Comic-Con, Day 2 (Friday: Part 1): My Own Personal 8 Mile”
